We are constantly striving to provide our patients with the finest dental care available. Our investment in advanced technology means a long-term investment in our patient’s future, because state-of the art technology invites informed decision-making and enables you to make wise choices concerning your child’s dental health.
Digital Radiographs: This form of dental radiography offers a more efficient, comfortable and safer (reduced radiation) modality for dental disease diagnosis. Digital offers about 80% less radiation than traditional films. Our doctors always use their professional judgement and take utmost precautions to minimize radiation levels and exposures when taking x-rays. We uphold the standards set forth by the American Dental Association guidelines to keep radiation exposure as Low As Reasonable Achievable (ALARA) and use protective aprons and thyroid collars for extra protection. X-rays will be prescribed on an individual need basis and we do our best to limit the number or x-rays and the frequency in which they are taken.
Non-radiographic imaging:
To reduce the frequency of x-rays, we can use non-radiographic imaging in between our regular scheduled x-rays.
Reverse Osmosis and Ozone Filtration
We filter our water supply with the latest reverse osmosis system, and all the water that is used in the dental lines also pass through a deionizer to increase its purity. We filter the air in the office with a centralized UV and Ozone filtration system.
Laser Dentistry – This is the latest advancement in dental technology. Our doctors have incorporated the Waterlase laser by Biolase into their practice to treat many common dental conditions in a comfortable, minimally invasive way – oftentimes without having to use local anesthesia. Our laser is natural and water powered. It combines water, air, and laser energy for safe use in the mouth. The laser can also be used for soft tissue procedures.
3D Imaging
Our office has recently incorporated the newest 3D CBCT technology that produces the highest resolution images with the lowest radiation exposure.
